Webb12 aug. 2024 · Normally I would just log on the file server, open computer management >> Shared folders >> Open Files and close the open file. However, there is NO sign of the file being opened. I was running out of ideas so decided to copy the file, delete the original and then rename the copied file to the same name as the original. As an alternative solution, I think you could apply to each file within the folder and create a new folder with the same name in the SharePoint library.
