The P365's felt recoil is less, the slide is much easier to rack, it's slightly smaller and lighter, has a better trigger than a stock Shield and it's more accurate in my hands at 7 yards. Both are optic ready (fits 507k and any other shield rmsc foot print optic), has a sweet flat face trigger with extremely short reset AND the grip isn't as long as the shield plus while still holding 12 rounds in a flush fit. But the Shield is a quality gun, and some prefer a larger grip and like larger guns than the 365, so it may prove to be the better choice for you. For me, the 365 is the easy choice, though.
