WebJun 7, 2008 · Ironically, I still had Gitk open, displaying that very commit. As long as I didn’t refresh the Gitk view with F5 I could see the lost commit. Here’s a fun fact: under OSX (not sure about Linux) you cannot select and copy text from Gitk’s interface, except for the SHA1 field [1].
