WebNYC Audubon serves a diverse community of 10,000 members, with a team of 14 full-time and part-time staff, supported by seasonal scientists, hundreds of advocates, and thousands of volunteers. We are a grassroots membership-based organization that is independent from but affiliates as a chapter of the National Audubon Society. WebFor over 40 years, New York City Audubon has championed nature in the City’s five boroughs through a combination of engaging and entertaining programs and innovative conservation campaigns. Through these efforts, we protect the more than 300 species of birds living in the 30,000 acres of wetlands, forests, and grasslands of New York City.
